After getting married with my husband, a swim coach, I learned that winter is also a swim season. Umm, maybe spring instead of winter.
I still don’t get it precisely, but it seems that there are many swim meets in March and July.
Recently also, he has a swim meet almost every week and leaves home as early as 5 am.
At that time, Sotarto and I are still dreaming on the bed. Sorry, dad!
After he comes back home, I usually ask “How was it?”, then he replies, “It was ok.”
Sometimes he says, “Not bad” or “bad”. Just one word…
He doesn’t talk much about swimming at home. I guess he thinks he doesn’t need to talk because I’m not familiar with his swim team and swimming lol
However, I feel he is thinking so many things… just doesn’t say that.
His evaluation of the result is kind of harsh, but it is actually the evaluation of his coaching and his performance.
Despite his very simple answer, I dare to ask him, “How was it?”
I asked today, too. Then he replies,
“It was good. Everybody did a good job.”
Wow!
It must be a really good result!

夏は水泳シーズンです！
、、、って当たり前のことですが、
水泳コーチの夫を持ってわかったのは、冬も水泳のシーズン！☃️
ん？冬というか春かな。
あまりよくわかっていませんが、
3月と7月は大会が目白押しです。
今も毎週のように大会があって、
週末、朝5時起きとかで、出て行きます。
もちろん私とそう太郎は、
まだ夢の中😴😴 ごめんね、パパ！
帰ってきて、私が
「今日はどうだった？」
と聞くと、たいてい
「普通」
と返ってきます😭
時々、
「まあまあ」とか
「ダメだった」とか。
あまり家では、水泳のことは語りません。
まぁ私があまりわかっていないので、
話しても仕方ないと思ってるのかも。
思ってることはたくさんあるんだろうなぁ、と見てて感じますが。
そして、たぶん結果の評価も厳しめ。
それは、
コーチしてる自分に向けての
評価なんだと思います。
でも、私は懲りずに聞きます😁
「今日はどうだった？」
今日も帰ってきてから聞きました。
そしたら今日は、
「みんな良かったよ！」
と返ってきました😄
うん、それは、
相当良かったんだろうなぁ✨
